Some breastfeeding challenges can already be addressed over the phone prior to the home visit. I will also email you a 5-minute lactation assessment questionnaire beforehand which will include questions about your medical history that will help me to determine how best to help you.
If a home lactation visit is scheduled, I will of course wear Personal Protective Equipment.
During the 60-90 min home consultation, we can work on any breastfeeding concerns you may have. I will do a thorough feeding assessment and assess your baby’s oral anatomy and sucking skills. I will assist you with latch and comfortable positioning, and talk to you about possible causes for the issues you are having.
If a weight check is indicated, I will be able to weigh your baby using a Seca neonatal weighing scale which is calibrated and approved for medical use in accordance with 93/42/EEC. I am also more than happy to answer your questions about normal newborn behaviour.
Together, we will develop a breastfeeding plan which best suits your needs. This care plan and an assessment report will be emailed to you for your own records after the consultation. I will also follow up with an email a few days after the home visit to see how you are doing.
Payment is usually not required until after the consultation.
I accept cash, bank transfer or online payment. An invoice for your health insurance can be issued.
Please Note: Most health insurance companies provide some reimbursement for two IBCLC home visits.

Great for general breastfeeding support and information on normal newborn behaviour.
Videos of baby feeding can be sent to me to aide this support. All videos will be deleted after review.
I will guarantee to reply within 12-24hrs, but likely much more quickly. However, I am afraid I probably will not respond between 10pm and 8am.

There may be situations arising during the text support for which I may suggest a video or home consultation or refer you to your primary health care provider if you or your baby need an in-person review.
Follow-up home visit €70
Sometimes, a mother-baby dyad requires more than one in-person consultation to fully establish breastfeeding or to reach their personal breastfeeding goal. A follow-up consultation can support you to further strengthen your breastfeeding relationship.
A follow-up visit can also be booked if you need weaning support or support with combination feeding/ supplementation at the breast.
Payment is usually not required until after the consultation.

Unlimited, one-to-one phone and online lactation support during the first 6 weeks

Consultations are conducted via phone or Zoom with individual call ID and password and an intake form will be sent to you prior to the first call.
